Trends in Ed Tech: Creativity with Draw and Tell

As a Children's Library Associate, I like to think of myself as someone who embraces and encourages creativity whenever possible. If there is an opportunity for drawing, painting, or (most importantly) glitter, I am taking it. When I saw that the ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education) listed creativity as one of the hottest topics in educational technology in 2021, I immediately began searching for technology tools that could fall under this trend, in hopes that I could use something useful for my own career.

Upon my search, I discovered Draw and Tell Hd - by Duck Duck Moose. This educational technology tool allow students to create their own stories by making their own digital drawings and adding their own vocal recordings to narrate the images. Students can also add movement to their drawings by selecting from a "sticker gallery". Draw and Tell gives children freedom to make their own decisions and use their imaginations to think outside the box. If they want to draw themselves as a superhero, they can! The sky is the limit. By encouraging creativity, Draw and Tell allows children to become their own storytellers and use innovative thinking.
